“Living Art, Walking Canvas”, Yani Workman Sheng
Location: West Coast Farmers Market, Majestic Lawn, Corner Brook, NL
Time and Dates: Saturday, August 15th 2009, 10 am- 2 pm
Description:
Living Art, Walking Canvas, is open to the public and will be fun for people of all ages, participation is encouraged. The goal of this piece is to be so interactive that the individual characteristics of the viewer will dramatically impact the appearance of the final piece. The level of interaction will be further extended as these individuals who are wearing unique pieces of art move into the community. In this way, the Living Canvas Project will meet the goals that Stockpile aspires to; by stimulating thought and discussion about art throughout the whole community. In this way I hope to create a ripple effect where the enjoyment of art can be experienced by everyone regardless of where they are and what they are doing, not limited to only a gallery setting.
Participants need only be willing to have fun, try something new, and be willing to have a photograph of them selves wearing the art taken for purposes of documenting the event.
