“and yet, and yet” Sandi Hartling

Location: Various locations in downtown Charlottetown, PEI

Time and Dates: Ongoing now (July and August)

Description:

and yet, and yet… uses the common English saying to examine the human endeavor to leave a mark and obtain permanence, while the medium (clay) and process of time eliminate any trace of the event… stemming from the very beginnings of art and written language, the act of “writing on the wall” has carried through time, allowing us today to plant ourselves within the same tradition and explore the space around us as a place for communication

  • Using soil collected from Charlottetown
  • I will mix it to create a paint for a series of stencils in town
  • the piece will change with various locations
