Corner Brook artist installs paper windmills on the Majestic Lawn

On July 26, Yani Workman Sheng will present “Purity”, a single installation piece on the Majestic Theatre’s lawn in Corner Brook, made up of many small paper windmills.

These paper windmills, which played a large part in Workman Sheng’s own childhood, are described by the artist as representing “the purity and innocence of an idealized childhood.” Workman Sheng, a recent graduated of Sir Wilfred Grenfell College’s Fine Art program, goes on to say, “Like children, the windmills will be playfully spinning about on the grassy field through another long summer day.”
