Full Tilt Creative Centre presents an exhibition and a film, August 21st, 8 PM

Full Tilt Creative Centre in McIvers is pleased to present an exhibition of watercolour paintings, “EPITAPH: for an independent woman”, by Catherine Beaudette. This exciting collection of images is based on her discovery and recording of abandoned objects left in the home of Bride Sullivan who once lived in the outport community of King’s Cove, Bonavista Bay. These beautifully rendered images sensitively record this delicate life and give us a glimpse of life in rural Newfoundland. This exhibition opens Thursday August 21 at 8:00 pm. The exhibition will continue till September 11, 2008.
The film Goh Poh Seng…..a poet in Newfoundland will premiere at Full Tilt Creative Centre Thursday August 21 at 8:30 pm. This film is directed by Almerinda Travasoss and produced by Katherine Knight and Site Media Inc. This film is a portrait of the celebrated author Goh Poh Seng. It gives the viewer insight into the joys and struggles of his creative life and philosophy of living. The film was shot in Lark Harbour last Fall and the beauty of that landscape is the backdrop for this compelling portrait of Goh Poh Seng.
Both artists will be in attendance at the opening reception on Thursday August 21, 2008 at 8:00 pm.
