Sandi Hartling

Sandi Hartling is an emerging visual artist living and working in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sir Wilfred Grenfell College of Memorial University of Newfoundland in Spring 2007.  Sandi’s artistic interests lie in the unseen history and sacred acts of everyday life.  She is fascinated with origins: the process and evolution of things over time – rituals that have become routine, language, and etymology.  Her work is often process and time based, taking the form of printed matter, installation, and performance.  She enjoys using mediums that are intrinsically loaded with interaction, time, repetition, and strongly communicate the action or process of creation.  Sandi has exhibited both within and outside the art gallery, and most recently was exhibited in a group show, Problem Child, at The Rooms, NFLD.
